MISSIONS / SERVICE DIMENSIONS
During the FEED and EPSCC Phase, the Service holder is in charge to:
• lead and manage the civil and structure engineering team, composed of engineers with focus on the successful and timely project execution;
• provide support and expertise and contribution with regards to his discipline.
• provide support and expertise and contribution with regards to civil-structure discipline and subject related to seismicity;
• provide support to, challenge the FEED Contractors in the optimization exercise in particular with regards to modularization philosophy.
• Promote alternatives design to optimize, cost, works and schedule;
• timely review and comment FEED engineering documents and consolidate comments related to civil and structural deliverables; liaise with other disciplines and/or entities as required when coordinating Company comments;
• provide his expertise, to compare and evaluate the CPF-Wellpads FEED in particular in the evaluation of the modularization solutions;
• conduct studies leading to technical decision making and issue recommendation to Project Management;
• ensure engineering consistency, constructability, operability and flexibility of the design solutions;
• ensure that the engineering activities related to civil – structure and seismic design matters are performed in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, Contextualized GS, with required level of quality, high HSE Standards, with respect of the Project environment, and within the agreed time schedule and cost;
• prepare for issue the derogation requests to GS EP STR and CIV in ep-derog system, follow up the instruction by company’s Head Office experts to ensure timely answer;
• provide prompt responses to engineering queries and unexpected technical issues to FEED Contractors;
• support preparation and participate in technical reviews and audits (PR, DER, etc…), provide answers and ensure timely implementation of the findings in his discipline;
• ensure reporting, highlighting critical issues to the Engineering Manager and proposing remedial actions
During the EPC Phase:
The Service holder is in charge to:
• lead and manage the civil and structure engineering team, with focus on the successful and timely project execution;
• provide support and expertise and contribution with regards to civil-structure discipline and subject related to seismicity;
• timely review and comment detail engineering documents and consolidate comments related to civil and structure deliverables; in liaison with other Company Project team members as required;
• ensure compliance of the civil and structure engineering deliverables with Project requirements;
• prepare for issue the derogation requests to GS EP CIV and STR in ep-derog system, follow up the instruction by company’s Head Office experts to ensure timely answer; –
• ensure consistency of civil and structure engineering studies between the different Work Packages.
• conduct studies leading to technical decision making and issue recommendation to Project Management.
• assist the Company Procurement Team, in the supervision of the procurement, inspection and tests during fabrication activities related to his discipline.
• support preparation and participate in Project technical reviews, provide answers and ensure timely implementation of the findings in his discipline.
• ensure proper reporting, highlighting critical issues to the Engineering Manager and proposing remedial actions.
ACTIVITIES
• To adopt & demonstrate an exemplary behavior with regard to HSSE requirements
• To provide a strong HSSE leadership and to define and ensure the effective implementation of the Project HSSE policy and commitment, by providing all necessary resources
• To adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behavior with regard to the Company Ethics and “Code of Conduct” policy and to promote and enforce the Corporate Anti-Corruption Program within the project team
• Organization: To co-ordinate all the activities of the civil and structure engineering team by informing, supporting and directing personnel in their roles, responsibilities and objectives.
• Engineering Follow up: To control Contractors’ performance in civil and structural matters: timely delivery and review of Contractor’s engineering documents, studies and queries through an efficient technical coordination scheme with the Contractor
• Engineering Compliance: To ensure compliance of civil and structural engineering with the Project Requirements and applicable standards.
• To Issue and follow-up of Derogations requests to GS-EP-CIV and ST
• To ensure timely implementation of his discipline related audit findings
• Seismic: To be the “Project Seismic Champion” to ensure safe seismic design of the Plant in line with the Project requirements and applicable laws and standards. To coordinate all concerned disciplines to ensure consistent and compliant design in all disciplines
• Reporting: To ensure adequate and timely reporting to the Engineering Manager
CONTEXT & ENVIRONMENT
The overall project is a project in Iraq around Ratawi Oil field. It includes 4 sub projects: Common Seawater Supply Project (CSSP), Gas Midstream project (GMP) and Solar Power Plant (SSP) and Associated Gas Upstream Project (AGUP).
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Education: Engineering degree or equivalent
• Experience: >10 years in same or equivalent position
• Languages: English
Advanced expertise is required:
• Structural civil in oil & gas project/industry specially for onshore fields.
• In project at all life-cycle stages of project development (FEED, Basic and Detailed Engineering, etc)
OTHER OBSERVATIONS
The Service holder is accountable for supervising and coordinating the civil and structure related activities performed by FEED Contractors for the Early Works, Pipelines and CPF-Wellpads Packages during the FEED phase and those performed by EPSCC Contractors for the Early Works, Pipelines.
